Hello, I am Alan Sanders, and I have the privilege to be the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. In 2015, God’s leading brought me to Dawson and CBC. I found a loving group of believers that enjoy fellowshipping, loving, and worshipping together. The people of CBC welcomed my family and myself and have made us feel just like we have always been here. We are still being blessed, today, by this congregation.
My desire, as pastor, is to clearly present God’s Word in such a way that we will all desire a closer walk with Him. I want to see our church living out Biblical principles such as grace, love, and forgiveness in our faith community. As Christians, we should be building each other up through love, encouraging the weary, and helping bear the burdens of the weak. More than anything, our goal is to cultivate our faith community and see it grow stronger, deeper, and fuller as we become more like Him.
We try to blend our music with newer songs as well as the old faithful hymns. I think both styles of music, when used correctly, bring honor and glory to our Father. One thing I am definitely thankful for, CBC is not afraid to experiment in our worship styles or services. Our desire is to honor and glorify the name of Jesus in every aspect of our services.
If you are looking for a place to belong, a place to grow, a community of believers, come check us out. It doesn’t matter if you are a young adult or silver saint, God has a place for you to serve. I would like to personally invite you to come and experience life with CBC. Come be a part of our story.
If you have any questions about Calvary Baptist Church, or what to expect when you visit, send me an email and we can set up a time to converse.
